In partnership with Twinkl, the Little People, Big Dreams Conference is proud to offer a Regional & Remote Educator Conference Scholarship designed to support participation from early childhood professionals working in regional and remote communities across the Northern Territory.
This scholarship aims to reduce the financial barriers associated with professional development and ensure educators from all regions of the Territory have the opportunity to connect, learn and be inspired at the 2026 Little People, Big Dreams Conference.

Scholarship Inclusions
One successful applicant will receive:
- 1 x Full Conference Registration to attend the Little People, Big Dreams Conference on Saturday, 17 October 2026. Access to all conference sessions, networking opportunities, catering, and conference materials
- 2 nights’ accommodation at the conference venue, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Esplanade Darwin
- A travel contribution of up to $500 towards eligible travel expenses associated with attending the conference*
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be currently employed, volunteering, or actively working within an Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) service located in the Northern Territory.
- Be based in a regional or remote Northern Territory community, outside the Greater Darwin region.
- Demonstrate how attendance at the conference will benefit their professional practice, service, children, families, and/or community.
- Obtain approval from their employer or service leader to attend the conference if selected.
- Submit only one application per service.
Selection Considerations
Preference may be given to applicants who:
- Have limited access to face-to-face professional learning opportunities.
- Work in geographically isolated communities.
- Can demonstrate how they will share knowledge and learnings with colleagues upon their return.
- Are attending the Little People, Big Dreams Conference for the first time.
Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Travel reimbursement is capped at $500 and will only be provided upon submission of valid tax invoices and receipts.
- Any travel costs exceeding the $500 allowance will be the responsibility of the successful applicant or their employer.
- Accommodation dates and booking arrangements will be determined by the conference organisers.
- The successful applicant must attend the conference in full.
- Should the recipient be unable to attend, Child Australia reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship and offer it to another applicant.
- Child Australia and Twinkl reserve the right to verify eligibility information provided in the application.
- The selection panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
Definition of Regional or Remote Area
For the purposes of this scholarship, a regional or remote service is defined as an Early Childhood Education and Care service located outside the Greater Darwin Area, including communities throughout regional and remote Northern Territory locations.
