ECEC Support: Empowering Regional Services WA
Child Australia thanks the State Government for its commitment to enhancing Not for Profit Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services across regional Western Australia. The program was successfully delivered between 2024 – 2026.
About the Program
As part of a $2.9 million government investment, Child Australia successfully secured funding for a new initiative ECEC Support: Empowering Regional Services WA, a coordinated support model program designed to strengthen and enhance regional services.
The program focused on the key challenges faced by services in regional WA. Child Australia delivered professional development, upskilling, mentoring, committee governance support and more across the Great Southern, Peel, Southwest and Wheatbelt regions.
Objectives of the Program
Through the “ECEC Support: Empowering Regional Services WA” model, Child Australia aimed to ensure the sustainability of regional services, strengthen the capacity of local sector professionals, and foster the growth and viability of ECEC services in the focus regions.
The program’s ultimate goal was to enhance the quality and accessibility of ECEC services, so that more children in the regions could access high-quality early learning.
