About the series

Keeping children safe is everyone’s responsibility!

Join us as we explore the Adult Behaviour Traffic Light Framework.

🟢 We’ll celebrate the Green behaviours that support and nurture children and keep them safe.

🟠 We’ll explore how to recognise and address those Amber behaviours that make us feel uncomfortable.

🔴 We’ll review the action to take immediately when you see a Red behaviour that is not acceptable.

Why This Series Matters

Children are society’s most valuable treasure! We must protect, support and nurture them well in all environments.

As educators, our role is to provide the safe learning environment. So, what do we do when we see adult behaviours that don’t sit right?

Through this series, we’ll look at practical scenarios for all behaviours.

You will:

  • learn the Traffic Light Framework
  • review the steps to take for each behaviour type
  • see how the Framework works in practice
  • gain confidence in how to speak up.

The Adult Behaviour Traffic Light Framework provides a shared language for all Educators, Service Leaders, Families and Carers.

A shared language means that we can safely bring amber and red behaviours to light immediately.

A shared language means that we can celebrate the green behaviours that we see in our Services every day.

A shared language also helps us recognise and celebrate the green behaviours we see in our services every day.

Keep children, yourself, your team and your service safe and protected.
