About the Service
Berry Springs OSHC offers community After School Care and Vacation Care from Pre-School to Grade 6. Child Australia Berry Springs OSHC is committed to providing quality care and educational practice to the children and families of our Community.
We encourage children to think about OSHC as an extension to family and feel welcome and comfortable. Our environment allows children to create their own safe play spaces while developing a strong sense of belonging and identity; encouraging friendships and sharing. Through play and allocation of tasks educators are able to strengthen and develop the child, bringing out the best in all of their abilities.
We believe that every child should be provided with a warm, caring and nurturing environment.
We value children as individuals and encourage their diverse strengths, healthy respect for difference and equality, in turn promoting anti-bias and inclusion for all.
We believe in providing a stimulating and challenging environment that excites and motivates children’s sense of wonder and curiosity.
Berry Springs OSHC is managed as a partnership between Berry Springs Primary School and Child Australia.

The aim of Berry Springs Community OSHC is to provide the best possible care for children by promoting a safe & welcoming teaching environment for all children.
We aim to recognise each child as an individual within the context of their family.
We offer experiences that have no gender bias and that are appropriate for the child’s level of development in the following areas: cognitive, social, emotional, positive behaviour and physical development.
We aim to fulfil the above by:
- Providing a safe and warm family-focused environment in which children can explore and experiment
- Encouraging children to be self-expressive
- Allowing the children to express their creativity through various structured and spontaneous activities
- Providing appropriate toys and equipment for the varying age groups, individual needs, and interests
- Proving a variety of choices to reinforce individual decision making, and to foster self-esteem and positive behaviour
To ensure the highest quality of care, we encourage and welcome a high level of communication among educators, children, families and management.
Whilst we appreciate that parents lead busy lives, we encourage parental involvement at all times.

From the Springs holidays in 2025, we will start our vacation program.
Our Vacation care program operates throughout the school holidays and offers exciting incursions and excursions.
The basis of our Vacation Care service is for the children to enjoy their holiday. We offer children opportunities to play and learn at their own pace, engage in experiences of interest, enjoy a new adventure and be challenged.

Our Facilities
Our program is intentional with a priority for play and leisure, and is centered around the voices and needs of the children.
