Providing safe and secure environments for children is part of our professional practice but how do we provide that space for children and staff?

This session will look at the challenges to creating an emotionally safe work environment to support teams, families and the children we work with. 

Learning Outcomes 

  • Apply an understanding of trauma-informed care to create safe environments for your team, children and families. 
  • Define secondary trauma and support approaches for safe work environments 
  • Define a strength-based approach
